 Summer time is perfect for a baby naming ceremony. The weather is fabulous and perfect for an outdoor ceremony followed by a barbecue or picnic. There are beautiful parks all around us - some like Blackbutt Reserve in Newcastle have covered areas that you can hire just for the occasion.
Or why not plan a baby naming over the Christmas period - it could be ideal time if that's the time all the family get together? A baby naming ceremony can be done any time, from newborn to toddler.After all, the aim is all about celebrating the life of your little one.  I was so happy to be invited to officiate at a wedding at IronBark Hill Vineyard in the Hunter Valley as I had never been there before. It has the sweetest little chapel near the winery and at the back is a floor to ceiling window overlooking the vines.
A perfect backdrop for a very personal and extremely romantic ceremony... For me a magic moment was when the beautiful bride gave me a kiss and thanked me for everything I had done. And she later wrote: "Thank you so very much for such a wonderful ceremony. We thought you did a fantastic job. It was so perfect. We had an absolutely brilliant day." What a privilege to create and conduct their wedding - how I love my job!  Every wedding ceremony is different - and special and I adore conducting them all!
But it's just so wonderful to hear back from a couple about how much they loved the whole experience. Thank you Shannon and Kristy for writing, "We both from the bottom of our hearts thank you for officiating and making our wedding ceremony so special for not just ourselves but for everyone that was involved. We loved everything you did to make our day memorable and enjoyable. P.S. Nice touch with the dolphins too!" (If only I could take credit for two dolphins who decided to swim in and play as the bride was releasing butterflies...certainly a magic moment.) |
