How true this is. I only wish I could have spent more time with my mother, who died when I was a teenager. I wish I had written down her stories so I could have passed them on to my children and others in the family who never met her.

Did you know Bill Clinton said, "I really think that anyone who’s fortunate enough to live to be over fifty years old should take some time, even if it’s just a couple of weekends, to sit down and write the story of your life, even if it’s only twenty pages, and even if it’s only for your children and grandchildren…You’ll be surprised what you find." If writing your life story seems too huge a task, help is at hand from Celebrating Life's Chapters. Just one interview of around one hour could result in a beautiful, hard-cover book that you would be proud to show your family and hand down to generations to come. To be chosen to be part of someone's celebration is a true privilege. And knowing you have helped to create special moments in other people's lives is a feeling to be really cherished. And, when feedback like this is received, it is something to be truly treasured... "I searched the internet and found Rebecca. I liked her website and her past ceremonies had spoken so highly of her. "I gave her a call and she was lovely!! Rebecca is very organised and helped us to create a ceremony that is special to us. We discussed what we wanted for the naming ceremony and she gave me ideas on how to make it unique to our family. She is also very creative and helped us build on our ideas. "On the day she arrived punctually and made our family feel very welcome. She didn’t rush us even though we had quite a few late arrivals! It all ran effortlessly and all our guests commented how lovely and personal Rebecca was." Thank you Alicia so much for those very lovely words. Whatever life we have experienced, if we can tell our story to someone who listens, we find it easier to deal with our circumstances, so says Margaret J. Wheatley,
author and consultant on organisational behaviour. Telling the stories that make up your life have so many physical and emotional benefits - research shows, among other benefits, it boosts your immune system and can help you achieve greater success. As a Siberian elder said, "If you don’t know the trees you may be lost in the forest, but if you don’t know the stories you may be lost in life." Don't be lost - find better health and a better life by telling your story through Celebrating Life's Chapters. It is the best gift to yourself and to future generations. Why do we wait until birthdays, Christmas or New Year's Eve to celebrate? I believe life is too short not to celebrate EVERY moment we can. Without making the effort to mark a particular moment, life passes us by far too quickly and achievements and blessings can so easily get missed along the way... Organising a celebration - with a celebrant to lift the occasion from special to spectacular - is the best way to mark all those special occasions in your life. Be it a new home, new baby, the passing of an exam or achieving new status... Make Celebrating Life's Chapters your New Year's Resolution for 2013...celebrate in style and ensure you don't let those magic moments pass you by... |
