It's official! After 12 months of studying, doing exams and waiting - I am now an official wedding celebrant, authorised by the Australian Attorney-General. First I did a Certificate 1V in Celebrancy - which necessitated a large number of assignments and lots of studying. Then I applied to the Attorney-General's office and had to wait until they sent me a Law Exam to sit. Once done I had to wait three months for registration. My official number is A15478 - so anyone who has been patiently waiting for me to become registered before organising their wedding, you can go ahead now - I am willing, able and fully qualified!
