Conducting a same-sex commitment ceremony has been for me one of life's truly memorable moments. And, as you can see from this picture, it was so much fun. Of course there were serious moments - and some extremely moving ones, but everyone who took part agreed it was the best 'wedding' they had ever been to!
Until weddings for same sex couples are legalised in Australia, a commitment ceremony is the ideal way to publicly declare love and commitment to a partner. But it gives no legal protection which is why, like many people, I am hoping that the laws will change. Let me know what you think. Post a comment here...
