As I gear up for some upcoming winter weddings I'm thinking of some special stories about couples who I have married. I was thrilled to hear soon after their wedding that this couple were expecting twins. However their two tiny girls were born so premature that they were not expected to live. They've now beaten all the odds to not only survive but to thrive - as they turn one I'm so thrilled and honoured to have been part of this couple's amazing journey.
I adore creating the perfect ceremony for couples - and delivering a memorable and heartwarming ceremony on the day. But when it's for a friend - or the children of friends - it makes it so very very special. I have known this beautiful girl since she was young and it was such a pleasure to have a hand in helping to cement her future happiness. Thank you for your lovely words after the big day. "Trav & I were married on the 12th February 2016 at Barry Park, Fingal Bay. Rebecca Skinner was our Celebrant. Rebecca has been a close friend of our family for many years so to us we were never going to consider anyone else. Rebecca lived up to our expectations!! She was extremely professional but had such a loving touch. We could not have been happier with the ceremony she gave us! "
And if he's a step-brother that's just fantastic! Any family - blended or not - can be hard work but when a blended family really bonds it's something that should be celebrated. A special ceremony that focuses on the new family unit can be a very important experience for all family members, especially the children. The reassurance and acceptance a special ceremony gives will pay dividends as far as family harmony goes, well into the future.
Why not have an anniversary celebration? It doesn't have to be the big 50 years, but a ceremony reminding yourself of why you got together and recalling all your special moments, can be a wonderfully beneficial experience for a couple as well as their family and friends. A professional celebrant can create a unique ceremony involving significant people and events that will lift your celebration to a whole new level. What a spot and time to conduct a wedding ceremony...sunset on the banks of Lake Macquarie. It could not have been more romantic...
What a spectacular wedding ceremony! It was held on a sheep and cattle station outside Bendemeer, the ceremony was in the hay barn. A bell rang to invite the guests to take their seats on bales of hay and the entire occasion was filled to the brim with love.
This is Barry Park at Fingal Bay - a stunning spot overlooking the ocean at Port Stephens near Shoal Bay. There is shade, public toilets and magnificent views. This was where I conducted a recent wedding and I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone living in the region who wants a perfect spot for a ceremony!
